POWER POINTS (OUTDOOR)

1 POWER POINT WILL BE AWARDED FOR EVERY YARD EARNED IN THE FOLLOWING EVENTS

1. (POWER) --> REVERSE MEDICINE BALL OVERHEAD THROW

THE ATHLETE WILL THROW A 14LB MEDICINE BALL BACKWARDS AND OVER THEIR HEAD. 
  • YARDS AWARDED --> THE DISTANCE FROM THE ATHLETE'S FEET TO WHERE THE BALL FIRST TOUCHES THE GROUND. THE EVENT WILL START WITH THE ATHLETE'S FEET RIGHT BEHIND THE START LINE

2. (SPEED / RELATIVE BODY STRENGTH) --> REVERSE SLIDER (10 SECONDS)

THE ATHLETE WILL PLACE THEIR FEET ON FURNITURE SLIDES AND PUSH HIMSELF BACKWARDS FOR 10 SECONDS
  • YARDS AWARDED --> THE DISTANCE FROM THE START LINE TO WHERE THEIR HEAD FINISHES AFTER 10 SECONDS. THE EVEN WILL START WITH THE SLIDERS RIGHT BEHIND THE START LINE.

3. (SPEED STRENGTH) --> 90LB 10YD PROWLER SHUTTLE (20 SECONDS)

THE ATHLETE WILL START WITH HIS HANDS ON THE HIGH HANDLE SIDE OF A  PROWLER LOADED WITH ONE 45 PLATE ON EACH SIDE. WHEN THE ENTIRE PROWLER CROSSES 10YDS, HE WILL RUN TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PROWLER AND PUSH THE LOAD HANDLE SIDE. HE WILL CONTINUE THIS PROCESS FOR 20 SECONDS
  • YARDS AWARDED --> THE DISTANCE THE FRONT OF THE PROWLER MOVES AFTER 20 TOTAL SECONDS. THE EVENT WILL START WITH THE FRONT OF THE SLED RIGHT BEHIND THE START LINE.

4. (STRENGTH) --> 175LB FARMER'S WALK

THE ATHLETE WILL PICK UP A FARMER'S WALK LOADED WITH A 45, 25, 10, 5 AND A 2.5 LOADED ON EACH SIDE AND CARRY IT AS FAR AS HE POSSIBLY CAN. THE ATHLETE CAN ONLY USE ONE HAND AND CANNOT SWITCH HANDS ALONG THE WAY.
  • YARDS AWARDED --> THE DISTANCE THE FRONT 45 PLATE MOVES FROM THE START LINE TO POINT WHERE THE PLATE TOUCHES THE GROUND. THE EVENT WILL BEGIN WITH THE 45LB PLATE SITTING RIGHT ON THE START LINE.

5. (STRENGTH SPEED) --> 230LB SEATED SLED PULL (10 SECONDS)

THE ATHLETE WILL START SITTING ON A BUCKET ACROSS FROM A SLED LOADED WITH 4 90LB PLATES. ATTACHED TO THE SLED WILL BE A 20YD CHAIN. ON GO, THE ATHLETE WILL PICK UP THE CHAIN AND DRAG THE SLED TOWARDS HIMSELF FOR 10 SECONDS.
  • YARDS AWARDED --> THE DISTANCE THE FRONT OF THE SLED TRAVELS FROM THE START LINE TO THE END POINT AFTER 10 SECONDS. THE EVENT WIL BEGIN WITH THE SLED SITTING RIGHT BEHIND THE START LINE.
